This years Critics Choice Awards was held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif., and hosted by Olivia Munn. We love the air of female dominance all over this awards show – Gal Gadot won the #SeeHer Award for her outstanding performance in WonderWoman which also won best action movie! Serena Williams and her family covered the front of Vogue magazine with their brand new addition – Alexis Ohanian. Now that Alexis has accompanied her mom & aunts on the spread, she is officially the youngest Vogue cover star! She’s already breaking records and she’s not even 1 yet!
Ok, so we know we are a bit late… but better late than never! The end of last year came at as like a MACK Truck but we managed to pull it together just in time! We can’t say we were sad to see 2017 go but we are definitely happy that 2018 is here! This year we have decided to get a little bit more personal with the blog. As we morph and change, our family keeps growing, some of us are moving homes, starting new businesses and so much more! We will keep highlighting all the fashion, celebrities and the good stuff we’ve always covered, but this year you’ll get a little bit more… us! There’s so much to look forward to and we can’t wait to share! xx
Every year my sister and I make our pilgrimage to Atlanta for thanksgiving with our moms family – there’s nothing like some good honey baked ham, collared greens and a big ol turkey. Not to mention Christmas present shopping, food shopping and giving Black Friday all I’ve got!Unfortunately this year, activities in Nigeria held us back SO we decided to go on a sisters vacay to wrap up the year. Same purpose, same goals, we’re still going to eat turkey and shop till we drop – just this time no kids, no man, no parents. Game Time.
This years Variety Awards was all about young Hollywood! While we have gotten used to seeing some of the same people on the red carpet for decades, it was refreshing to see some young new talent taking our screens by storm. Zendaya, Yara Shahidi and Halle & Chloe were joined by a host of other young superstars like Gabby Douglas & Ashton Sanders.
We always have mixed feelings about Cassie and her music, but one thing we know for sure is that we like her style. Back in August she covered Galore Magazine to promote her new single with rapper G-Eazy, “Love a Loser.” The message behind the song is very clear: I’d rather lose a lover than love a loser. It’s definitely giving all the right “summer” vibes, perfect for the weather we are about to experience in Nigeria!
